“The Origin of the Book of Changes” and “The Way of Heaven and Man” – Liu Xin’s New Review of Yixue Thinking

Abstract: The academic community often discusses Liu Xin and Liu Xiang’s Yixue all the way, which is difficult to remind the two of Yixue characteristics and contributions. Compared with Liu Xiang, Liu Xin has a systematic construction of Yi Xue, which is important in terms of “the original of the “Yi”” and “the way of heaven and man”. Under the guidance of the idea of ”The Book of Changes is the Origin”, Liu Xin adjusted the order of the “Five Paths” and put the Book of Changes first. Liu Xin’s idea of ”the original of the Book of Changes” is related to his belief that the Book of Changes is a work on “the way of heaven and man”. Under the guidance of the “way of heaven and man”, Liu Xin created the “Three Sects”, whose goal is to use heaven to guide human sects. 1. “The Origin of the Book of Changes”: The position of the Book of Changes in Liu Xin’s study
Liu Xin put forward the view of “The Origin of the Book of Changes”, and believed that the Book of Changes occupies the foundation of the origin in the Six Books. “Han Shu·英文” says:
The six arts: “Le” is to harmonize the spirit, which is the expression of benevolence; “Le” uses righteous words, which is the use of meaning; “Le” uses clear body, which is the understanding of understanding, so it is not a secret; “Le” uses broad listening to the knowledge, which is a symbiosis of faith.
